What is Cardogo?

Three ropes lie across the table, each with a red scarf on it. You play buddies, tricks and toys – and after every round, all three ropes are pulled at the same time.

Whoever pulls two ropes to their side first wins. And anyone who runs out of stamina simply goes back to their basket. Six breeds bring their own decks and their own command.

How Cardogo plays

Play your cards

Treats are your currency: three more every round to play buddies, tricks and toys.

Pull three ropes

After both turns, all ropes pull at once. A big lead gives an extra yank.

Win two ropes

Two ropes decide the match – otherwise the final whistle after round 8.

What to expect

  • Every bag contains five cards. A Surprise Bag contains at least one rare or better card, a Golden Surprise Bag at least one epic or better.
  • Cards you are missing are preferred: with a 75% chance you get a card of the rolled tier that you don't own yet (legendary) or don't own twice yet (all others).
  • Legendary guarantee: your first legendary arrives in bag 10 at the latest, then at least one in every 40 bags (counted across both bag types). The table shows a single bag's chance without this guarantee.
  • Surprise Bags are sold for bones only, Golden Surprise Bags are a reward only – never for real money. Gold Tags only buy things with fixed contents: breeds, boards and a card back.

Calculated from the same rules the game uses to draw; the minimum guarantee (rare or epic) is included in the per-card values, the legendary guarantee is not (as of this page). The values the game shows before opening always apply.

Cardogo: frequently asked questions

How do I win?

The first to pull two of the three ropes to their side wins. If nobody does, the final whistle decides after round 8.

Do I have to buy cards?

No. Surprise Bags are sold for bones only, which you earn by playing and from quests. Optionally you can buy Gold Tags to unlock breeds and boards straight away, and a golden card back. Cards and Surprise Bags can't be bought with Gold Tags.

Do I play against other people?

No, against computer opponents at three levels – carefully balanced by simulation.
