Terms of use for the games

1. Provider and scope

The provider of the games is Patrick Gruben, Rolandstraße 14, 40476 Düsseldorf, Germany (legal notice). These terms apply to the games Woof Island, Pawshift, Doggo Dive, Don't bark, Runaway Tail, Cardogo and Wobble Garden. The terms of the respective store also apply to downloads and purchases; for games from the Apple App Store, Apple's Standard License Agreement (EULA) applies as well.

2. The games

You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the games for private purposes. The games are free to play; depending on the game, some content can be obtained with real money (in-app purchases) or by voluntarily watching ad videos (where the game shows ads). I keep developing the games; content, prices and features may change. Content you have already bought remains yours.

3. Third-party content

Don't bark: The game contains sound recordings from Freesound.org and photo textures from Poly Haven (both CC0, public domain), the typefaces IM Fell English, Alegreya Sans and Gloock (SIL Open Font License) and three.js and Capacitor (MIT license). The authors are listed in the game under “Credits”.

4. Virtual currencies and items

In-game currencies, unlocked dogs, cards, stickers and other game content are virtual. They have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for money, transferred or sold outside the game. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use them in the game.

5. Random rewards

Some games contain random content. It is only available for in-game currency earned by playing or as a reward – never directly or indirectly for real money. The game shows the odds of each tier before purchase or before every pull; the information in the game always applies.

  • Woof Island – Woof-O-Mat: earned currency only (bones, Woof Tickets, free pull), not gems or real money; odds in the game under “Odds”, also on the game page

6. Purchases, withdrawal and refunds

Purchases are concluded and billed through the App Store or Google Play. For digital content delivered immediately, the statutory right of withdrawal expires if you expressly agreed to this before the purchase. Refunds follow the rules of the respective store (Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com; Google: Play Store → Payments & subscriptions → Budget & history). If a purchase does not arrive, restarting the game or “Restore purchases” usually helps; otherwise write to me or ask the store for a refund. If you delete your progress yourself, purchased in-game currency you have not spent yet is lost.

7. Minors

Minors need parental consent for purchases. I recommend protecting purchases in the device settings (Screen Time or Google Family Link).

8. Fair play

Please do not use manipulation or cheats or automated access to my servers. In case of abuse I may block the cloud backup of an account.

9. Availability

I aim for smooth operation but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability of online features such as cloud backup. Your progress is always also kept on your device.

10. Liability

I am fully liable for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health and under the Product Liability Act. For slight negligence I am only liable for breach of essential contractual obligations, limited to foreseeable, typical damage. Statutory warranty rights remain unaffected.

11. Termination

You can stop playing at any time, delete your data (Delete data) and uninstall the app. If I discontinue a game, I will announce it with reasonable notice on the game's page and, where possible, in the game.

12. Final provisions

German law applies. If you are a consumer habitually resident in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory provisions of that country. I am neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board. If a provision is invalid, the rest remains valid. If this English version differs from the German one, the German version prevails.
