Delete data – Runaway Tail
Last updated: October 11, 2026
Directly in the game (immediately)
- Progress on your device: Settings → “Reset progress” → “Continue” → “Reset for good” deletes your progress and ghost runs. The reset is also applied to your cloud backup and your iCloud. “No Ads” and the dog and scarf from the Starter Pack stay, so you don't have to buy them again.
- Cloud backup and account: Settings → “Cloud save” → “Delete cloud data” → “Continue” → “Delete for good” (if you linked Apple, you confirm with Apple once more first) immediately deletes your cloud save and the copy in your iCloud, plus your account with any linked e-mail address – the account only if it no longer holds a save from another grubenhund games title. After that, the game stops backing up automatically until you turn the cloud backup back on yourself. The progress on your device stays.
Without the game
- Uninstall the app – this deletes your progress and settings on the device. If a device backup is turned on (iCloud Backup or Android backup), it may restore your progress when you reinstall; delete it there too. Your cloud backup stays – it's best to delete it in the game first.
- Ad data: You can change your ad consent in the game's settings under “Privacy settings” (where Google requires it, e.g. in the EU); you can reset the advertising ID in your device settings (iOS: Privacy & Security → Tracking; Android: Privacy → Ads). Google's privacy policy applies to data held by Google.
- Game Center: Apple manages your best scores; you can sign out in the iOS Settings under “Game Center”.
By e-mail
If you no longer have access to the game, write to info@grubenhund.com – ideally with the e-mail address of your Apple account (or Apple's relay address) if you linked your account with Apple – then I delete the account and save. I can't match an unlinked, anonymous account to a person without the game; it's best to delete it in the game before removing the app. I delete within one month and confirm the deletion.
